Now up to it’s fourth generation of Brumpton family management, Mt Ascot has grown with the addition of other properties and enterprises. It is expands across a combined 125,000 acres, however our commitment to caring four our animals and land is still paramount. We are particularly passionate and proud of the beautiful and sustainable natural fibre that we are able to produce.

The studs are situated near Mitchell, Queensland, 7 hours drive west of Brisbane, 400kms North from the NSW border and 95 kms east from Australia's largest cattle selling center at Roma. The environment is a 21-inch summer dominant rainfall that produces humid, subtropical conditions.

We pride ourselves in achieving close relationships with clients so that they are comfortable and confident with our genetics, and provide ongoing support to ensure clients achieve their breeding objectives. This includes complimentary sheep classing, ram delivery and advice to all new and existing clients.

The use of modern technologies contributes to our profitable success allowing us to identify the most productive animals and traits in which we use sustainably throughout the flock to maintain a consistent genetic balance. Each sheep at marking receives an electronic ear tag, enabling the accurate measurement of growth rates, fleece weights and wool quality to be measured over a sheep’s lifetime along with it’s breeding history. Other EID technologies including sheep handlers, auto-drafters, pedigree matchmakers, scale indicators and barcode readers allow the efficient recording and use of this information for classing, management and breeding purposes.
